The Group

Stefania MusolinoStefania

Stefania comes from Italy and obtained her Masters degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies from the University of Pisa in March 2014. She carried out her Masters thesis under the direction of Prof. Paolo Crotti. In 2014 Stefania joined the CRITICAT CDT program at the University of St Andrews. Her PhD project is focused on the kinetic resolution of alcohols under the joint supervision of Dr James Taylor and Prof. Andrew Smith. Outside of chemistry she is interested in reading and scientific communication.

Susana Estopina

Susana is from Spain and has a Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Valencia. She also completed an Erasmus research project at the University of Loughborough. Susana’s project is focused on the catalytic activation of alcohols.

Adrian Felaar

Adrian is working in the group as part of his final year undergraduate research project. He is looking to develop and explore the reactivity of radical intermediates using EPR spectroscopy in collaboration with Prof. John Walton.

Ben Richards

Ben is working in the group as part of his final year undergraduate research project. He is working on the development of boronic acid catalysis for the activation of alcohols.
